Taylor Hamlin

Quantitative Ecologist

Taylor Hamlin

Taylor loves to improve knowledge and understanding about complex ecological systems, enabling better decision making. He combines spatial ecology and Bayesian statistical methods, to answer questions about pest control, seabird behaviour and conservation, and Antarctic ecosystems. He is a quantitative ecologist who recently graduated with a PhD from the University of Otago.

Prior to joining Proteus, Taylor worked as both a Teaching and Research Fellow in the Ecology Programme at the University of Otago.

In his free time, Taylor enjoys trail running, mountain biking, surfing, and spending time in his garden.
